About the menu

Seiko Kissa & Yoshoku is a charming Japanese restaurant nestled on the 4th floor of Hopewell Mall, Wan Chai, Hong Kong. Stepping inside feels like a journey to the nostalgic Shōwa era, with interiors designed by Akira Gondo beautifully merging traditional and contemporary styles. The menu showcases authentic Japan-Western fusion, featuring hearty European-inspired dishes like tender pork chops, pasta, and classic sandwiches that bring comfort and satisfaction in generous portions.

What truly stands out is their signature pudding, often praised as the smoothest, most custard-rich dessert, elevating the entire experience. While some find the coffee robust and strong, the harmonious blend of flavors in the meals and desserts captures the essence of yoshoku cuisine. Whether enjoying a refreshing sashimi salad or indulging in the famous flan, the dining experience here combines culinary nostalgia, aesthetic charm, and rich taste, making Seiko Kissa & Yoshoku a must-visit for lovers of retro Japanese-Western fare.

from a recent review —
Stepping into “Seiko Kissa and Yoshoku” feels like travelling back to the Shōwa era of Japan. The rich culture and nostalgic decor provide a sense of comfort and longing. The interior design, crafted by Japanese designer Akira Gondo, skilfully blends traditional and modern elements, creating a unique yet comfortable space. We had pasta, sandwiches and pork chop interpreted in European style cuisine. Food and service both fine. Pricing a little bit more expensive than the other restaurant offering similar kind of food.
